Congrats Mr. Fu

Congrats to Mr. Fu, this is indeed your year. Not only winning first place in COMLA, but also managed to stole the first place right on the final week of the ALMOC.
Fu become the first ever in our fantasy history to win from both leagues (dual winner)
With the addition winning from bracket competition, making him the current record holder for most money win from a single season of fantasy basketball (6.65)

End result for ALMOC:
1st. Fu with 74
2nd Wi with 73.5
3rd Adawn with 73

Congrats to Fu and the remaining top 3 of ALMOC

Here are the final result of both leagues:
COMLA

ALMOC:

Fantasy Dinner

It was in Kwetiaw Kerang Singapore at Pluit where the venue was decided to be held fantasy dinner. It was fun to meet up among fantasy managers, although I pitied Agus & Sondhi who also joined the dinner and  had no idea about the conversation since it was 99% about fantasy basketball.

Finally after a long hours of discussion, negotiation, argument, laugh, voting, vetoed, we came down to a conclusion as follows:

What has been decided:
ALMOC:
a. The years keeper has been reduced from 3 years to 2 years.
a* Previous potential keeper such as love, noah, curry, deng, m.gasol, etc will be eligible for 2 more years (no change) from next season
b. Penalty from bottom 3 have been increase from previously 100k each to 500k, 300k and 200k total of 1 mil to be used for fantasy gathering/dinner
c. Waiver system no longer using priority, and will be replaced by bidding, similar with comla
d. Draft system will still be similar like 2010-2011 season, using random automated from website
e. Entry fee will increase from previously 500k to 800k
f. The number of games will reduce from 85 games to 82 games
g. Should a manager quit, his team will be frozen, no mid-season takeover is allowed

*point a*, f & g are new : with the addition of voting from cekui, wandy and edu

COMLA:
a. Entry fee will increase from previously 500k to 800k

Highlight of the night: Someone yelled out "EH CIBE, SINI LOE" in the restaurant hall. LMAO

The top 3 of ALMOC and the not so lucky one

ALMOC Season Finale

updated news: only 3 games today, but enough to move some ranking within top 3. ALL top three are now tied with 73.5. Big showdown tomorrow!

With most NBA teams played 81 games with 1 more game to go. It's time to hand out the fantasy award for ALMOC.
I must say this again, this may be the wildest finish of ALMOC top 3. With 1 more game to go to go, I'm still unsure who will finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It's a privilege for me personally to have a close match with Adawn and iFoe for the top 3. Despite who will get the first tomorrow, congrats for finishing top 3.
I also must thank the Trade Councils, I believe this year Trade Councils performed with the out-most high level of performance and fast reaction, it clearly showed how enjoyable this season was.

Without further due, here are the awards based on fantasy performance:

MVP: Kevin Durant
No surprise here, although KD was struggling in the early season, however he managed to pick up the form from last season. Congrats Mr. Bellepue
Best Current Keeper: Kevin Love
Also no surprise here as Love finish 4th overall only behind KD, CP3 and LBJ. Congrats Mr. iFoe
ROY: Landry Fields
Credit to Mr. Bellepue for finding him first and Mr. Havana for keeping him most of the season. I'm sure this awards will surprise everybody, however Fields stats is outperforming Wall, Griffin, Monroe, Crawford and other rookie. It's not that Fields number are that great, it's just that every other rookie numbers are very bad.
Best Un-drafted Player: Dorell Wright
Best New Keeper: Dorell Wright
Congrats Mr. Gennosuke who seem to always getting the best out of FA every season.
Best Drafted Player in terms of Draft Position: Serge Ibaka
Drafted #139th and yet performance rank at #40. Congrats Mr. Gunners
Worth mentioned: Elton Brand drafted #93 and finish at #19, credit to Mr. Gennosuke.
Most Disappointment Player in term of Draft Position: Brandon Roy
Drafted at #26 however combination of poor result and injury prone earned him this embarrassing award. Poor Mr. Bitch Slappers
Most Comeback Team: Matoaroto
Mr. Matoaroto was the last at 12th position in mid January with only 41 pts, however since then he managed to turn around, increase his point by astonishing 18 pts and finish respectably 59 up to today. A remarkable turn-around.

Summary Of Past Two Weeks

I was busy and long overseas trip, therefore I missed covering COMLA semifinal and final. At the end,
Fu was 1st place
Lung2 was 2nd place
and Wandy was 3rd place

Congrats to Fufu for getting his top spot in COMLA, this is the 3rd time fufu got top spot for comla. He did it before in 2006, 2008 and now in 2010 season.
(PS: To MR. FUFU, this will be your recognition so you can show your kids, so we dont need to sign on a piece of tissue paper, hahaha)

Congrats also to Lung2, who are the first rookie who end up getting the top 3 spot in the first year.

Last but not least, special congrats to Matoa, who finally getting to top 3 and broke the COMLA curse.

Full of Drama

Day 1
That was probably quite close to describe how things were on the first day of playoff (for the bottom half of the bracket)
The team on the upper half need to show more playoff competitiveness being the 4 lowest scorer in the first day.
GeNNoSuKe and Senior's look in trouble in the first day of playoff. Will they finally able to win the battle for the remaining 6 days? or will it be a long 6 days of agony...?
Matoa  is playing Scola despite there wasn't news of him returning, and Scola ended up missing first day, Matoa need him to return this week if he wanted to make an upset of GeNNoSuKe

Day 2
Shazaam Noah miss game due to sickness today, will it matter since Shazaam has lead 180 fpts compare to Seniors?
Best performance today is McGee with triple double block 120.5 pts who was on free agent and J. Johnson 108 pts who were benched.
Curse is now leading by only 0.5 pts compare to Adawn, where both have same 23 games remaining despite kobe was benched by Curse.
iWinner is leading by 19.5 only, but are trailing by two games.

Day 3
Wi is out of playoff
Gennosuke and Adawn were trailling
iWinner is leading but down by 4 games
Is comla the true underdog league?

Day 4
Adawn is closing in on Curse. Looks quite equal now. Adawn is down by 80 fps but leading by 1 game.
iWinner is now only down by 1 game and still leading by 67 fpts, thanks to -3 performance today by Gepeng's Brandon Roy. Ouch...
Gennosuke is out already in my opinion, unless Scola miss both remaining games which I doubt
Senior's is enjoying fishing and waiting for GeNNoSuKe to join him.
To ConCarne: have a fun trip and hope to see you soon next month.

Day 5
Also known as "The comeback day"
-GeNNoSuKe make a big run today with matoa and now leading with 57 points. It proved again anything can happen in fantasy and it aint over until the fat lady sing. Less than 24 hours I was certain that GeNNoSuKe was gone, it's now appear that Matoa is in trouble. Both have 8 games left.
-iWinner increase his leads with 213 fpts against Gepeng still down by 1 game, proving to everyone number of games doesn't guarantee anything (Gepeng have 4 more game in the overall week.). Iggy does miss game tomorrow, will it be enough for Gepeng to make a comeback?
-Adawn and Curse match are the most exciting match of all. Both have 10 games left and adawn is leading only by 0.5 fpts. Adawn's bynum may face suspension though, if he does get it, then curse has 1 game advantage.
-Shazaam did not have a good day today, however still managed to hold the lead by 105 fpts compare Senior. His lead as of day 4 was exactly 300 fpts.
I honestly did not paid attention to comla league since 3 days ago since I announced white flag and congratulated Shazaam. Seniors had 1 game advantage or maybe 2 (depends on Marion availability Sunday).
2 more days to go...

Day 6
-Adawn vs Curse: I forgot to mention that Felton injured yesterday, thus missing today game. Tomorrow Adawn has 4 games left (with Bynum suspended) and Curse has 6 games left, with currently adawn leading by 75 fpts. This one will be a close battle.
-iWinner vs Gepeng: iWinner has a huge lead with 250 fpts. iWinner only has 4 games tomorrow while Gepeng has 7 games. Gepeng need to use his remaining 7 games to catch up iWinner if he want to win.
-Senior vs Shazaam: Senior Duncan had DNP today, and Shazaam still manage to hold the lead with 24 fpts. If Marion play, then shazaam has 6 games left, while Seniors has 5 games left.
-Gennosuke vs Matoa: Gennosuke is leading by 122 and if Scola still mising tomorrow game, then they both have 4 games left.

Tomorrow shall be the judgment day!

Day 7
The day of The anticlimax. First round has ended, and only Gennosuke and Matoa match were close. The rest were triple digit lost. Many player blow up today and many player have very below average performance.
Let's start with the biggest upset
Gennosuke vs Matoa:
Gennosuke team performance may be one of the worst in this season. With 4 players only getting 137 fpts, most notably is Kevin Love with 23 fpts who were injured in the game
While Lowry, the best FA pick up this season score 136 by himself, only 1 point different with 4 players of Gennosuke. With Lowry leading, and scola who came back, Matoa just managed to edge Gennosuke with 49 fpts: The closest in the first round. Lowry is also our top player this week with 320.5
Adawn vs Curse
The Cinderella team picked up Carlos Delfino just before the playoff, and he turned out the X factor who beat Adawn's team. With 107 performance today and total of 296 fpts for whole week, indeed help Curse to make the biggest upset. Not only Curse beat the most favorite team (according to bracket) but also had the highest point of this week.
Seniors vs Shazaam
Shazaam has his own version of Carlos Delfino and the name is Marcus Thornton, who score 109 fpts today and total of 296.5 fpts for the whole week, very identical with Carlon Delfino. Amazingly these two players were just pickup on the last minute before going to playoff. Shazaam easily beat Seniors with superb performance by his player today.
Gepeng vs iWinner
One thing I know, Gepeng will not ever pick the player Brandon Roy again in the future, who only had 76 fpts for the whole week (4 games). If he had played Lamar Odom he would have won the match with iWinner by a tiny margin of 13 fpts.

Who do you think have the best team this year?
